The U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis announced today that the trade deficit decreased 8.2% in November. The deficit “was $43.1 billion in November, down $3.9 billion from $46.9 billion in October.” November’s deficit amount is the country’s lowest since 2016, and is in part because the “deficit with China decreased $2.2 billion to $25.6 billion”. In November, exports to China “increased $1.4 billion to $8.9 billion and imports decreased $0.8 billion to $34.5 billion.”
