North Korea Foreign Minister says North Korea “will remain as the biggest “threat” to the” United States if Sanctions Continue
North Korea Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho says North Korea “will remain as the biggest “threat” to the” United States if they “maintain the strongest sanctions in history.” The North Korean diplomat expressed in a statement that North Korea is “ready for both dialogue and stand-off” with the United States, but with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo “leading the US negotiation team… [he is] skeptical as to whether we can solve any problem.” Foreign Minister Yong Ho added that “nothing decent can be expected from Pompeo,” a “diehard toxin of the US diplomacy” who adopts “the most wicked methods… as diplomatic means” and “has no shame [and] no conscience.” One day after his statement, North Korea has launched two more short-range ballistic missiles into the sea, the seventh such testing in the past month.” Secretary of State Mike Pompeo still expressed “hope Chairman Kim will come to the table” to reach a denuclearization agreement, and admitted his “wish that [North Korea] would not” continue with these missile launch tests.
