FBI Thwarts White Supremacist Attempt to Blow Up Jewish Temple

A Colorado man, “who self-identifies as a skinhead and a white supremacist”, was arrested this weekend for plotting to blow up a Jewish temple. The man “met with undercover agents posing as fellow white supremacists to discuss a plan to attack [a local Jewish] Temple.” The man then “coordinated with undercover agents to obtain explosives,… including two pipe bombs and 14 sticks of dynamite.” The FBI first identified the man from Facebook where he would “promote white supremacy ideology and acts of violence, including racially-motivated acts of violence”. For example, he messaged another Facebook user, “I wish the Holocaust really did happen… they need to die.” The man will face “a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison if convicted” and up to a “$250,000 fine”.
