Pentagon Establishes UFO Task Force

The Department of Defense has announced the establishment of an “Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) Task Force (UAPTF)”.

A UAP is defined by the Pentagon as an observed aircraft “when the observer cannot immediately identify what he or she is observing”. For instance, earlier this year, the DOD released three unclassified Navy videos which show a Navy pilot’s radar locking in on an unidentified flying object (UFO) rapidly accelerating and rotating to the pilot’s bewilderment.

The DOD says this task force will help “to improve its understanding of, and gain insight into, the nature and origins of UAPs”.

The UAPTF mission “is to detect, analyze and catalog UAPs that could potentially pose a threat to U.S. national security”.
