A man from Georgia has pleaded guilty for a planned attack on the White House using semi-automatic weapons, improvised explosive devices, an anti-tank weapon, and hand grenades.

In addition to the White House, undercover FBI agents discovered he was also targeting the Washington Monument, the Statue of Libery, the Lincoln Memorial, and a synagogue.

The FBI reports motivations for his attacks were a “part of his desire to engage in “jihad.””

The man and U.S. government reached a plea agreement for the man to receive a 15-year sentence of imprisonment.
