Chinese Deaths from Wuhan Coronavirus up to 811

Today, the Chinese Government reported on the latest developments surrounding the Wuhan coronavirus:

“The overall confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland had reached 37,198 by the end of Feb 8 and 811 people had died of the disease.” “The mortality rate of the virus in… the city of Tianmen and Wuhan [have] the highest death rates at 5.08 percent and 4.06 percent, respectively.”

There have been 307 confirmed cases with one death in countries outside of China.

On February 10th, China’s central bank will issue loans “totaling 300 billion yuan (about $43 billion)” to commercial banks “as part of measures to finance the control” of the coronavirus outbreak.
