Americans’ Income Grew 3.4% in 2018

Americans’ personal income grew 3.4 percent in 2018, after increasing 2.9 percent in 2017.

Citizens in Wyoming experienced the greatest percent change increase in personal income at 6.7 percent, while wages for residents of Mississippi grew the least in the country at 0.9 percent.

This data, however, will likely see a significant difference for 2020 following the recent unemployment increase of over 36 million people, which brought the unemployment rate to a record high of 14.7%
